The Ossining School District's Interscholastic Athletic Program is a natural extension of the school curriculum that provides activities for the growth and development of our students.
This program also contributes significantly to preparing our students for becoming productive, contributing citizens of our community and society. A comprehensive program of athletic activities expresses our commitment to ensure the development of physical fitness and personal health, the acquisition of competent performances, and the achievement of excellence in the student's chosen sport. ***Winter Update***
We want to provide the Ossining families with an update on winter (Varsity and JV) interscholastic sports. Ossining is a member school of Section One and follows all the rules/regulations that the Section approves. Today, the Section approved all the low/moderate risk winter sports (indoor track, boys swimming, gymnastics) to begin their season on January 4, 2021. The State is scheduled to make a decision if high risk sports (basketball, ice hockey, wrestling) can hold competitions on December 31, 2020.
We will continue to prepare for the start of the winter season. Student athletes must register on Family ID if they are interested in participating. Family ID will open for (OHS winter sports teams) on December 4, 2020.
All modified winter sports are now scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. This date will continue to be monitored and will be reevaluated prior to the start of the season. Go PRIDE!!!
OHS offers the convenience of on-line registration for sports through FamilyID. FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides parents with an easy, user-friendly way to register for sports. FamilyID keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile. You enter your child's information only once for multiple seasons. Family ID will only be open for registration 30 days prior to season start date for that sport. Click here to sign up for Family ID
